Ban Hammer Syndrome

Elizabeth Warren calls to get rid of the Electoral College. Twitter admits they shadow-ban to “keep us safe” and New Zealand bans Zerohedge for it’s coverage of Christchurch. The authoritarians are out again, trying any trick to silence voices and dictate social & cultural change.

These are just a few of the examples of the “ban” cultural that I found today. The Left is not the only side guilty of this. Just ask Ben Shapiro what he thinks about anti-Israel views and what should be done about them.

We all have opinions about certain views and ideas for “fixing” them, but only some of us are prepared to use force to act on them. My view of “racist” might be different from yours. My view of “war criminal” might be different. Even calling someone a “Nazi” as become a matter of opinion.

For some, any Trump supporter is a “Nazi”. So, should “Nazis” be allowed to vote? If so, why should we listen to what they want or believe?

I’m from California and I believe all the Red States are filled with Trump-supporting “Nazis”. I have no evidence or logic to this opinion. It is based on my personal view that their views are bad, and bad views mean “Nazi”. Nazis were the worst people to ever live, so how could anyone listen to a “Nazi”. There are way more people who think like I do. I see them everyday. They all agree with me.

I’ll end with a second quote before the video from my favorite Sci-Fi story, Firefly (this quote being from the feature length movie Serenity):

“People don’t like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think. Don’t run, don’t walk. We’re in their homes and in their heads and we haven’t the right. We’re meddlesome.” – River

“River, we’re not telling people what to think. We’re just trying to show them how.” – Teacher
